In this study, it was proven that there is only one answer to this puzzle as illustrated below except in cases of 5 : 4 : 3 ratio in side length of the original square and two divided squares. Question : Divide a square into 4 pieces. Put 2 of the 4 pieces together, and compose a small square. Put the other 2 pieces together, and compose another small square. [figure] An example is shown in the above. It is not necessary for the 2 smaller squares to be the same in size. Pieces should not be turned inside out.
